Of all pre employment, online sales tests, the DriveTest allows you to interview only high-potential candidates, dramatically increasing the quality of your applicant pool. As described in our book Never Hire a Bad Salesperson Again, over 80 years of sales research has shown that Drive consists of three critical personality traits.

1. Need for Achievement. The intense desire to attain excellence and accomplish challenging goals, found in athletes like Tiger Woods.

2. Competitiveness. The unquenchable thirst to outperform one’s peers and win the customer over to your point of view, found in athletes like Michael Jordan.

The Basics

The DriveTest™ Difference

The DriveTest is the only sales test that measures all three elements of Drive . . . Need for Achievement, Competitiveness & Optimism, and adds them up to a total Drive score, showing you whether your sales candidate has the potential to be a top producer. This feature makes the DriveTest a powerful screening tool, saving you time by making sure you interview only high-potential candidates. In addition, the DriveTest also measures other traits that are important for successful selling, including Confidence, Persuasiveness, Relationship skills and Organization skills.

The Power of Forced Choice

The DriveTest consists of 104 questions and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. The DriveTest questions use a Forced-Choice format, in which the candidate must choose which statement is most like them and which statement is least like them. Furthermore, the candidate must choose between alternatives that sound equally positive, making this test more difficult for someone to fake.

How It Works: 3 Easy Steps

Sales Assessment Test

Step 1 – Preparation

SalesDrive works with your management team to match the profile of your ideal candidate with the traits measured by the DriveTest. Once you are ready to test a candidate, simply send us the candidate’s name and email address. We will send the candidate testing instructions.

Sales Test

Step 2- DriveTest

Candidates log in to the DriveTest screening website to complete the online sales test. They may complete the test at home, or at your office. The testing process takes about 30 minutes.

Sales Aptitude Test

Step 3 – Results

Once the candidate completes the screening test, we will generate a report for you. You will receive the results via email within one business day. This report will consist of a Drive score, allowing you to interview only the top-performing candidates
